For Sale: 1954 Nash Metropolitan in Abington, Massachusetts

Vehicle Description

Here we have a first year Metro. These are fantastic and fun little cars with a great story that most people don;t know. These cars were a collaboration between Nash here in the US and British Austin Motors of England. Although designed here in the states, the car was assembled in England and used a complete Austin powertrain. These were one of the first imports to be sold at US dealers. Originally meant for Nash only, after the merge with Hudson in 1954, the cars were labeled and sold at both Nash and Hudson dealers and were noted by an emblem on the grille to signify which. That was THE ONLY difference between a Nash Metropolitan and a Hudson. Later, in 1956 the cars were simply labeled 'Metropolitan'. This particular example is has undergone and exceptional restoration keeping its stock original configuration. Beautiful teal paint with a two tone, white hardtop. Correct black and white pin stripe interior rounds it all out nicely. It's like stepping back to 1954. Well sorted, this car start and runs and drives fantastically. Nice trim and chrome as well. I bought this car to display in our showroom and that's where it sits and greets all our guests. We are not anxious to sell so advertising it here only. If you are in the market for a Met, this just could be the one.
