The 911 ST was a classic In the Porsche world, a limited one at
that. They were only produced in 1970 and 1971, but the production
count was never publicly available. There is an estimate that just
20 to 25 911 ST models were created in all. The car was produced to
compete in endurance racing events, such as the 24 Hours of Le
Mans. The ST was just one variant of the Porsche 911 and had many
more technological advancements than the regular 911. The
advancements included improved suspension and brakes, a lightweight
body, and a more powerful engine. The car achieved what it was
created for and has several class wins and podium finishes in
endurance racing events during the 1970s.
This 1984 Porsche 911 ST backdate stands out with the exterior
finished in Gulf-Orange, along with the 2 extra headlights at the
front. You can also find rubber hooks instead of the metal catch
and cable to save weight. On the rear end of the car, you will
easily be able to spot the Dansk Cerakote center exhaust, which
makes this car look absolutely stunning from the back side. The
engine is a 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a 915 transmission,
producing around 230 horsepower, and a WEVO short-shifter, as well
as an RSR flywheel. The engine was managed by Autowerkstatt
Ludescher. The car has only been driven 4700 miles since its engine
and transmission were rebuilt. The car rides on KW Variant 3
coil-overs and Maxilite Fuchs wheels with Toyo proxie R888R
tires.
