Vehicle Description
The Porsche 911 2.7 RS is one of the most fun, powerful, and rare
cars to own or drive. These cars had improved the power-to-weight
ratio, which made them increasingly responsive. Reports of 75kg
were stripped from the standard model by fitting lightweight body
panels and lightweight glass. By July 1973, Porsche had sold a
total of 1,580 911 Carrera 2.7 RS cars. Of the 1580 cars, only 200
were the lightweight "sport" version, (equipment Code M471) 55
racing cars, 17 base cars and 1,308 RS touring (M472). The car's
engine consists of an air-cooled 2.7-liter flat-six engine paired
with a five-speed manual transmission making around 210HP.
This 2.7RS backdate started as a 964, born 1989, and has been
converted into the 911 2.7 RS. The exterior is finished in gray,
with red decals, and features the iconic ducktail spoiler fitted
onto the rear end of the car. The power comes from a 3.6-liter
flat-six with ~300HP and is paired with a manual 5-speed
transmission and a limited-slip differential. Within the
powertrain, there is a front catalyst, a stainless-steel exhaust
system with a manifold, an adjustable engine control unit, a large
fuel tank, performance enhancement, and a twin carburetor injection
system conversion, and an antilock braking system. The Interior
Consists of a black fabric interior and a leather/fabric
combination for the pepita seats, amenities are a fire extinguisher
in the passenger footwell, a roll bar, power windows, power
