For Sale: 1973 Plymouth Barracuda in Hamilton, Montana

Vehicle Description

Purchased this Pro Street Cuda from Lamborghini of Dallas for my collection about 15 years ago. Has spent most of the time that I've owned it in a climate controlled airplane hangar. It has just received a full fresh tune up. Fires right up and is ready for the road! Carburetors were just updated to modern Quick Fuels and the car has been tuned to run on pump gas. (Can add race fuel and race pulley for the blower if you're looking to drag race). Pictures don't do it justice. Any orange look to the car in the pictures is just the lighting, this car is very much VIPER RED.

Body and Interior:

Street legal show car/ Viper red paint with black reflective 340 hockey stripes, “Go Wing” rear spoiler. Over 1,000 hours on finish alone. Total 3 year rotisserie restoration. No money was spared and no shortcuts were taken and only the best equipment was used. It has a beautiful custom interior with red/gray/black tweed with embossed Pentastar in the custom back seat. It has a 4 point roll cage for easy access, with padding upholstered to match interior, and has black carpet dash cover. It has black custom embroidered floor mats with CUDA in red. The trunk is custom with CUDA embossed in the tweed on the trunk lid and a box cover over the trunk mounted battery. It has the battery cutoff in the trunk. It has stock gauges plus aftermarket oil pressure & water gauges, has an AutoMeter tach with shift light, all lights and speedometer work, factory console and slapstick shifter.

Engine:

’69 340 bored .030 over, Dyer 671 Street Charger blower and Dyer Intake – special. Extra pulley and belt for blower, TRW Forged 8.5 to 1 blower pistons, steel crankshaft, 2 – 600 balancer, 2.02 and 1.60” valves, (2) 650 CFM Quick Fuel carburetors, with fuel pressure gauge, Holley Chrome Regulator, Holley electric blue fuel pump, Fram fuel filter, Russel blue and red aerospace anodized fittings, stock gas tank and sending unit with deep sump added, ½” fuel line from gas tank to regulator. “Competition Cams” 1.5 ratio roller rockers. Mopar Performance: Solid lift 284° duration, .528” lift cam and kit for blower application, chrome H.P. ignition box, chrome valve covers, light weight starter, distributer, and cap. MSD blaster coil, Taylor Vertex 8 mm red plug wires, lots of chrome including: alternator and brackets, master cylinder cover, valve covers, and pulleys. K&N air filters, custom Griffin aluminum radiator, braided hoses, Russel red and blue anodized connectors, stainless/chrome lightweight fan and polished shroud plus electric fan (thermostat and manual control), stock polished water pump. Has black MOROSO deep oil pan with custom lettering “Blown 340” in white. Car has approx. 650 HP with street pulley and around 850 HP with race pulley. It does need the wheelie bars with this pulley and race gas.

Exhaust System:

Jet hot-coated headers with 3” exhaust pipes, “H” pipe, 40 series Delta Flow (3) chamber flowmasters.

Transmission:

727 Torqueflite, turbo action 10” high stall torque converter, Cheetah forward pattern manual/auto valve body, slapstick shifter/console, Lokar throttle/kickdown cables, deep TCI finned aluminum transmission pan.

Driveshaft:

Balanced, checked for straightness, (2) spicer #1360 solid u-joints and drive shaft loop.

Suspension:

Steel wheel tubs, adjustable Cal-Trac bars, wheelie bars, (chrome red and anodized), subframes tied, adjustable 90/10 competition engineering front shocks, rebuilt front suspension, polished satin centerline wheels, Mickey Thompson Sportsman rear tires 29” tall x 15 x 18.50 LT, 8 ¾ rear end, 742 case, 4.10 gears, axles narrowed by Moser.

Made a recent 5k upgrade on the 2 carburetors to 650 cfm quick fuel carbs (easy to sync/maintain). Center console lock needs replaced. There's a few scratches and imperfections in the paint from bumping into car while taking things in and out of storage but can easily be touched up. Not a lot needed to make it 100% show quality. Stored in climate controlled building.
