1968 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible finished in Carousel Red paint with
Black convertible top. Paint is in good overall shape while the
chrome really makes that orange color pop! REAL DEAL 442 (4467
style number on data tag). This car has had a repaint to Carousel
Red (Orange) along the line. Equipped with power steering and power
brakes. Recent service work includes coolant flush; new Edelbrock
carb; gaskets for transmission pan, oil pan, and valve covers; and
a new master cylinder. Rear bumper is showing some age, see still
photos. Riding on painted to match Oldsmobile wheels with white
letter tires. Powered by the 455 V8 paired with a numbers matching
TH400 automatic transmission. Previous owner states the engine is a
455 ci with 365 hp, casting number clarifies that it is indeed a
455 block. This also has 69C casted heads with a 69 4bbl intake and
a new Edelbrock 4bbl carb. This has had restoration work done in
2004 when it was stripped down to bare metal and repainted (blasted
frame and painted black also). At that time they did the
reupholstery, foam, convertible top, and carpeting on the interior.
Black vinyl (940 trim code) bucket seat interior with center
console and shifter on the floor. Interior is in great shape,
seating surfaces look great. Power convertible top with plastic
rear window, works as it should and fits well. Odometer reads
33,486 miles, we cannot confirm or deny to be original due to age.
