The ultimate getaway car! Ride away in style feeling like a
gangster but having the power of a drag car to be uncatchable.
Here's a slick all steel body 34 sedan that's fitted with a dual
quad Hemi, but the luxury comforts of a street car like air
conditioning, and custom stereo!
It was bad news for us but great news for you! During our
inspection we determined the engine was making a noise, $9,000
later its completely rebuilt.
EXTERIOR: Classic hot rod style. This is a real, all steel 1934
full fendered sedan with suicide doors. The roof has been filled in
with ribbed metal. The doors have been fitted with deadbolts to
prevent flying open, so they are no longer suicidal. It includes
the sides of the hood, painted and ready to go back on but we
prefer seeing that Hemi! Gorgeous custom Red Wine Metallic paint is
finished to show quality. The running boards are covered in the
original style ribbed rubber. It still shows off a few other
original style features too: big Ford script headlights, chrome
crank out windshield and chrome bumpers. All the glass is smoked.
The taillights are custom. They are teardrops sunk into the fenders
and there's a 3rd brake light too. We installed new polished Torque
Thrust wheels and new tires. The stance is perfect with 17s in
back, 15s in front. In case you unfortunately get caught in the
rain, a new speedway wiper system has been installed.
INTERIOR: The interior is comfortable! Finished with a nice
matching red wine cloth. Bucket seats in front, the passenger's
slides forward for rear seat access. The seats recline, the wheel
tilts so you can get comfy. A gorgeous Grant wood grain steering
wheel is attached to a GM tilt steering column. The gauges are
functional minus the fuel pressure gauge. Vintage Air heat and A/C
box are a breeze to use. A Ford floor mounted shifter is centered,
and a nice chrome emergency brake next to it. The custom stereo is
mounted in an overhead console and there are 4 speakers. Seatbelts
have been installed.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: A Hemi motor was stuffed in place of the
flathead, and they still managed to fit air conditioning too! It's
a 392 making 500 hp. We just had it professionally rebuilt. The
block was hot tanked, bored/honed 40 over. The crankshaft was
balanced, new piston rods and bearings were installed, and it has a
hot Clay Smith cam. On top is an aluminum intake with dual quad
Edelbrock carbs, braided fuel lines with A/N fittings and a fuel
pressure regulator. All new distributor and ignition system. An
electric fan has been hooked up to ensure proper cooling to this
massive engine.
UNDERSIDE: Frame off restoration, Very solid! Everything was
stripped, prepped and painted black. It looks to have a Mustang II
front end with independent suspension, rack and pinion steering,
coil over shocks, and tubular upper control arms. In the back it
has a leaf spring/shock set up. Mounted in the rear near the gas
tank is a Mallory electric fuel pump, and inline fuel filter. For
convenience, battery quick connect posts have been installed. The
brake lines look to be replaced, and the parking brake hooked up.
It has a full dual exhaust with mufflers that reach the rear of the
car. Looking up at the motor it has an extra capacity oil pan and a
high torque starter. The trans is a Turbo 400 automatic. A custom
driveshaft connects to a Ford 9 inch rear. The floors and frame are
all clean metal neatly painted black.
SERVICE: Thanks to our shop inspection we were able to fix what was
needed. $13,000 was spent making this car right: rebuilt engine,
new wiper system, charged the a/c, replaced glove box latch,
replaced the tachometer distributor, gauges, wheels & tires.
This is a dialed in, turn key Hot Rod. When you smash down the gas
pedal, you'll feel your youth come right back. It's not your
typical 34 Ford with a 350 in it. You can search for one on the
market, and chances are your search will bring you right to Volo
where this beauty is sitting in our showroom. If Bonnie and Clyde
had a Hemi they might not have ever been caught!
A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am
offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen
are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your
questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a
walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that
car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and
you will be given a 1 year membership.
