Vehicle Description
1974 Pontiac Grand Prix
The Grand Prix was introduced by Pontiac in 1962 and produced until
2008. It was initially their full size performance vehicle but
greatly varied throughout the years. Until the 70's it was the most
expensive luxury coupe Pontiac had to offer. This 1974 is in great
shape and belongs to the 4th generation. This was a unique year
because in 1973 all vehicles were redesigned due to federally
mandated emissions and bumper requirements. The body is in great
condition and painted with with a Red pinstripe. That is then
paired with a White vinyl top which is in great condition as well.
The car has the double grill up front which looks good as do the
chrome front/rear bumpers. These cars also had side trim and center
hood trim which is cleanly mounted in place. It rides on its
original Pontiac wheels wrapped with Goodyear Eagle P225/70R15
tires.
The car was ordered with the 400 cubic inch V8 motor that runs
great. It doesn't smoke and is original to the car. The motor is
combined with a Turbo Hydramatic 3 speed transmission that shifts
smoothly. It has factory power brakes and power steering which is
all working properly.
The interior is the original Dark Red cloth that is in excellent
shape. It has dual front bucket seats that sit to each side of the
original center console. It has wood grain trim throughout with its
"Grand Prix" emblems. The dash is in great shape and isn't cracked
or have any issues. The AC/Heat system works well and it also has a
Delco stereo with equalizer. In the trunk is the original spare
with cover.
