1981 Chevrolet Corvette - 350ci V8 - Automatic Transmission - 80k
Miles Show TMU - Gray Exterior - Red Interior Featured here is a
great vintage example of America's original sports car, the
Chevrolet Corvette. Within the car hobby, Corvette owners hold
their own special court. Corvette ownership is not just about
owning one of these highly acclaimed vehicles, it is about the
whole lifestyle of driving with other owners and meet-ups to
mutually enjoy these cars. Clubs exist across the country that
encourage and support Corvette owners in restoration, maintenance,
and the unique pleasure of owning and driving these cars. The 1981
Chevrolet Corvette featured here is well-priced and a very
affordable way to enter the Corvette hobby. This Corvette is
painted in the factory hue, Charcoal metallic. The finish has some
blemishes here and there throughout the finish, but overall, it
presents well with a nice luster. This car features power
retractable headlights with halogen lamps, removable glass tops,
and the optional 15X8 Aluminum wheels with P255/70R-15 Goodyear
Wingfoot radial tires with raised white letters. The red interior
of this plastic fantastic features red leather upholstery with
power seats. The interior and the carpet is clean and
well-maintained. Other features include aircraft-inspired gauges,
tilt steering with a telescopic wheel, power windows and locks,
cruise control, rear window defogger, and air conditioning. The
factory radio was upgraded with a JVC AM/FM Cassette tape player
that plays through a 4-way speaker set-up. Under the hood sits an
L-88 350cid V8 factory rated at 190hp. 1980 was the last year the
Corvette would be carbureted and also the first year for
computer-controlled timing and fuel mixture. The engine is capped
with a dual snorkel air cleaner with a chrome lid and features a
set of factory magnesium valve covers. Recent service includes a
new alternator and brake master cylinder. Underneath, the chassis
and suspension are unrestored but in good mechanical order. The
factory exhaust has been upgraded to a true dual exhaust with
larger 2.5 pipes that flow through stainless steel Magnaflow
mufflers. This car has a nice exhaust note that sounds great at
idle and while under throttle. The C3 Corvettes are a lot of fun to
drive. Throttle response is quick on these cars and they handle the
road extremely well. You will enjoy carving the turns on curvy
backroads while enjoying the sunshine with the tops off. Please
