For Sale: 1973 Chevrolet Corvette in Inverness, Florida

Vehicle Description

Details

This restored 1973 Chevrolet Corvette features the rare combination of an L82 V8 (350ci) and four-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The exterior is painted silver with a black convertible top and a matching black leather interior. The car is also equipped with power brakes, steering, and windows, along with a tilt and telescoping steering wheel. The vehicle was registered with the Corvette C3 Registry in 2012, showing 70,500 miles; it currently shows 71,651 miles, but the total mileage is not known. The car is located in Inverness, Florida.

The third-party photos and inspection of this Corvette detail the condition and care taken by the current owner, who has put around 1000 miles on the car since its purchase in 2015. The car was previously restored, and the photos show a clean, well-sorted car. The owners do note a crack in the fiberglass under the nose of the car and some bubbling of the paint on the fender. The interior shows some minor wear on the inside door panels and center console. Mechanically, the car operates as it should. The convertible top and pop-up headlights also function as expected. Included in the sale are 2 sets of keys.

This Corvette is being sold through a CLASSIC.COM Pro and is located in Inverness, Florida.

About the model

For the 1973 model year, Chevrolet introduced the L82 engine to the C3 Corvette. The L82, which was a 350 cubic inch V8 (5.7L), effectively replaced the LT1 as the performance engine, but without reaching similar power ratings. At launch, the L82 had an output of 250hp, before dropping to 205hp in 1975. From 1976 to 1977 output was 210hp, before climbing slightly to 220hp and then 225hp for 1978 and then 1979. For 1980, the final year of C3 L82 production, output was 230hp. Throughout production, the L82 was paired with manual or automatic transmissions and was offered on the T-Top and Convertible body styles.
