The Ford Rural was extremely popular in Brazil and other parts of South America because of its ruggedness and reliability. The car was suitable for both city and countryside, which made it popular with a wide audience. The Ford Rural is powered by a 2.6 Ltr. 6-cylinder engine linked to a 4-speed manual gearbox.
The Ford Rural had a design that had its roots in the Willys Station Wagon. The appearance of the Ford Rural was rugged, functional and simple, which contributed to its popularity in both urban and rural areas.
