Vehicle Description
STK 3663 1972 Ford F-100
Ford produced fifth generation F-Series pickups from 1966 to 1972.
Built on the same platform as the previous model, these trucks
featured sharper styling and a larger cab with better visibility.
This restored 1972 Ford F-100 is a custom example of this classic
truck with serious performance upgrades. We do not have
documentation, but it appears that much of the pickup's drivetrain
and rear suspension were donated by a C4 Corvette ('92-'96). The
solid body was prepped and the the cab was chopped approximately
5". Door handles were removed and a custom tailgate/rear pan with
Corvette taillights was installed. A respray of Maroon Red was
applied, but it is not without areas that need attention. Eagle
alloy wheels mount 16" Nitto performance radials and the bed is
covered with a hydraulic fiberglass tonneau. Inside the cab, bucket
seats are upholstered in grey cloth/leather with custom door cards
and a modified dash holds a full complement of digital gauges.
There is a tilt wheel and impressive center console that
incorporates the shifter, power window controls and a raging
Kenwood AM/FM/CD sound system. Horsepower is furnished by an LT-1
350ci small-block, likely the Corvette version that was factory
rated at 300bhp. The engine is equipped with fuel injection,
aluminum heads and chrome/billet accents. Cooling is provided by a
Griffin aluminum radiator w/electric fan and it is backed by a GM
4-speed automatic transmission. The chassis is fitted with power
rack/pinion steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes w/dual master and
Corvette C4 independent rear suspension/differential. This F-100/C4
certainly has visual impact and is a driver that runs well. ALL
