Vehicle Description
1951 Ford F-1 Pickup. DGT8021. VIN. FIR1KC18021. This one-family
owned Ford pickup was purchased new by the grandfather. It is
finished in white with pearl blue accents and polished oak wood bed
floor. It is powered by a 5.0 (302 cu in) High Output V8 from a
1989 Mustang, Hi-rise aluminum manifold and Edelbrock carburetor,
M/T aluminum valve covers, braided hoses, Electric fuel pump,
Hi-flow oil pump, Short throw headers, upgraded stainless steel
radiator shroud and electric fan.C-4 automatic transmission. Power
steering installed retaining the original steering column. It rides
on modular aluminum wheels and white letter radial tires. The
interior was just refinished with a new black headliner. The seat
was reupholstered in a beautiful, gray and black. Really looks
good. This truck had a B&M shifter that did not work well at
all so we replaced it with a push button floor shifter. Joe, at Old
School Garage, did the service and safety check so it's all ready
to go. We found the steering box to have more play in it than I
wanted so that got replaced with a brand new steering box. We also
had Frank's upholstery here in Burlington install new carpet and a
boot around the shift lever so that's all sealed up nicely now. I
really like how well this Ford pick up runs and drives. The 302
engine with the automatic transmission really makes this truck
exceptional.
