Designed to compete with the Packard 120, the 60 Series Cadillacs for 1937 provided a lot of bang for the buck. Featuring Cadillac's new 346 cubic inch V8, generating 135 horsepower (15 more than the Packard), and all on a 121 inch wheelbase, they were popular with businessmen climbing the ladder of success, and also as a second car for families with larger Cadillacs.
While the original owner of this car is unknown, it was highly-optioned when ordered. With sleek, dual sidemounted spare wheels with full covers, running boards, goddess hood ornament, full disc wheel covers, radio, and full leather interior (inlcuding the headliner!) it packed a lot of comfort into a cozy car.
This particular example was a dry, western car for much of its life and now wears a seasoned, very correct restoration that presents beautifully today. Gorgeous "Cavalier Blue Metallic" paint (Code 58 - as original), with a deep shine. Accented by bright chrome and trim both outside and inside. The upholstery is oxblood maroon colored leather throughout, accented by maroon Wilton wool carpet. While designed as a two passenger model, there are also two folding "opera seats" in the rear compartment allowing guests to ride along. When folded up, the rear space offers plenty of cargo room. The generous trunk is fully lined to match the passenger interior. Also includes a correct (one-year-only) matching spare wheel and tire that rides in the trunk and is ready if needed - without disturbing the sidemounts. The undercarriage is clean and rust-free, as is the entire car.

Mechanically excellent. The rebuilt V8 engine starts easily, runs smoothly with no smoke or unusual noises. Current owner for the last 35 years has a personal mechanic (who formerly worked in the legendary Hill & Vaughn shops in Los Angeles) who regularly maintains the car. 6 volt electrical system. All lights and gauges work. I have personally driven this Cadilllac. It has excellent acceleration and power, and runs cool. The 3-speed manual transmission shifts crisply. Brakes stop smooth and straight. Diamondback radial wide whitewall tires are excellent. Truly a pleasure to drive and ready to go anywhere. Has been toured on regional CCCA tours in the Pacific Northwest and has never had any issues on the road.
PLEASE SEE VIDEO OF ENGINE RUNNING.
The 6027 Sport Coupe is a rare model today, especially with dual sidemounts and this quality of restoration. There is little to add. If you're looking for a great Cadillac for enjoyment around town, on the road for touring, or for local showing, this is a wonderful package. Could not be restored to this level today for the asking price.
