For the third time the Chevrolet Corvette was chosen for the Pace Car for 79th running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 28th 1995. Chevrolet announced in January of that year that it produce a very limited number of Pace Car replicas. That number was ultimately 527 units built. Our 1995 Corvette Pace car pictured here has just 7,700 actual, original miles. Sold new at Royal Chevrolet in Aurora, Ohio. Owner number one kept the car until 2001 when a local car collector purchased the car with just 4,000 miles. This car remained in his personal collection until his passing. Only 7,700 actual miles have been added since new. These Pace Cars were pretty special and this one is no exception.
