Car sales in the United States were weak in 1966. Cadillac,
however, experienced its highest annual sales to that point. That
year, Cadillac sold 60,550 pillarless four-door hardtop Sedan de
Villes.
By 1966, Cadillac's huge OHV V-8 had grown in displacement to 429
cubic inches. With a 10.5:1 compression ratio and hydraulic valve
lifters, the 429 is fueled by a Carter AFB carburetor and produces
340 hp.
This Sedan Deville is equipped with air conditioning, AM/FM radio,
