Intro
This is a 1988 BMW M3 (E30) finished in Diamond Schwartz (Diamond Black Metallic) with Recaro SRD Sport Seats upholstered in black leather with black leather interior doors and rear quarter panels. Power comes from BMW’s S14 2.3L engine tuned with a Jim Conforti Performance Chip, and a five-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential. The seller purchased the M3 in October 2008 with approximately 171,200 miles. The current mileage is 178,450 miles. It has a clear title and is in Virginia.
Exterior
This 1988 M3 color is Diamond Schwartz Metallic with sunroof and new original BMW 16” Nogarosilber Sport Evolution Wheels, including the spare wheel wrapped in new Toyo Proxes R1R tires. This M3 was involved in an accident and the left door and left fender were replaced using new BMW parts. The exterior was repainted, and the paint remains in very good condition with no significant flaws or blemishes. It has the original BMW Front Undertray, BMW Gasket and Original BMW Hardware (Required for mounting Splitter and Spoiler), Carbon Fiber Front Replica M Sport E3 Splitter and Spoiler, original BMW Euro Left and Right Grilles, original BMW Fender and Hood M SPORT E3 Rubber Gasket and Carbon Fiber Rear Replica M Sport E3 Wing and Spoiler.
Interior
The interior appointments are well-preserved with clean carpets and crack-free dash. Many subtle changes and additions resembling the E30 M3 Sport Evolutions. The interior of this M3 is upholstered in black leather extending to the interior doors, interior rear quarter panels, center console, leather covered door map pockets and handles, and emergency brake console. It has the BMW rear window shelf and BMW Roller Sunscreen. The Recaro SRD Seats are installed on original E30 sliders with genuine BMW Sport E3 Red Front and Rear Seat Belts. It has an illuminated 5-Speed "M" style weighted shift knob, genuine BMW Sport E3 Footrest Dead Pedal and BMW M-Technik 2 Leather Steering Wheel, 370mm SMALL (KBA70121), with M stitch (X cross stitch) and instrument cluster gauge rings added. A new Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB Digital media receiver with AM/FM tuner, USB ports, SD card input, front auxiliary input, built-in Bluetooth for hands-free calls and music streaming (does not play CDs) was recently installed. It includes Alpine MRP-F300 4-Channel Power Amplifier installed in trunk under rear parcel shelf. Alpine SPX-13REF 5.25" Car Component Speakers installed in front and rear using original housing. Includes 4 midwoofers, 4 tweeters and 4 crossover networks.
Mechanicals
This M3 has BMW’s S14 2.3L engine tuned with a Jim Conforti Performance Chip. A new Sanden R134a AC Compressor, Nissens Parallel Flow Condenser, and associated parts were recently installed with R134a conversion completed. All fluids changed within the past 4 months, all belts were replaced, and a front wheel alignment was just completed.

This E30 is owned by an experienced M3 collector who knows the BMW M3 marque of this era extremely well. He made many subtle changes and additions resembling the E30 M3 Sport Evolutions. He added subtle performance modifications and addressed all preemptive and regular maintenance.
