This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette is not your typical custom-built
Resto-Mod. This Corvette was created by the legendary car designer
Steve Pasteiner. Steve had a long history with General Motors, most
notably as an assistant Chief Designer for Buick and Chevrolet.
Later opening his own company known as Advanced Automotive
Technologies (AAT). AAT designed and fabricated the limited edition
1953 Commemorative Edition C5 Corvette which was a melding of the
classic lines of a C1 Corvette with the technological advancements
of the C5. The owner of this 1962 Corvette felt that Steve and AAT
were the best people to create his dream car.
The build started with an original bodied 1962 Corvette on a solid
frame, from that humble beginning this 1962 Corvette came to life.
The custom blended Night Hawk Blue Pearl exterior paint with soft
sapphire blue leather interior and coordinating Mercedes-Benz blue
Hartz soft top this Corvette became a sight to behold. The body was
custom fabricated paying homage to the 1962 Corvette which competed
at the 12 hours of Sebring.
Slide into the custom fabricated interior, turn the key and awaken
the giant within. The LS3 motor is mated to a Tremec 6-speed
transmission and breathing through a custom designed Borla exhaust,
your senses are overcome and now you realize you are in something
very special.
The fit and finish of this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette is of the
highest caliber.
