This is the first Italian microcar, the Volugrafo was a company in Turin that produced small motorcycles to fly during the Second World War.
The concept is that of the Smart, they wanted to create a small car to use in cities. About fifty were built, but today we know about ten in Italy (mainly in museums) and one in Mexico; because the patron of the famous "Pan-American" bought one in Italy and took it to Mexico, opening the race every year to his children.
The presentation was made in Florence in Piazza della Signoria.
Two versions were produced, the first with vertical dashboard (like this one) and a second with horizontal dashboard and guide box.
The engine was a 125cc, (the same that the Volugrafo used for military scooters) that pulled on a single wheel, the rear left and the means was for 2 people.
In 1946, for these vehicles, the plate was not mandatory, which later became so in 1950.
