This car is an exotic beast, very fast. Perfect as a week-end ride for two people who appreciate a traditional experience or can be configured for racing. Installed a GM LS376/525, Kennedy Engineering Bell Housing. McLeod Dual Clutch, robust RBT 5-speed transaxle (new and supplied directly from RBT in Austin, Tx). This $15,000 gear box is not comparable to the original ZF gearbox used earlier in the race industry; RBT redesigned the case and bearing supports to accommodate much higher power output engines. High-capacity oversized radiator and cooling fans with extra hood louvers. Electric door latch activation from a remote control and interior buttons. Bluetooth radio and A/C. Most interior components are FFR kit parts and others are upgraded components of higher quality then those supplied by the kit manufacturer. Any used components from a donor were thoroughly cleaned, repainted, and made to look as new as possible. The brakes are new C5 corvette manually actuated hydraulic, with separate cylinders for front/rear. The suspension is comprised of the FFR kit components. Added Flowmaster full-port cans on the exhaust to tone it down a bit though, do not worry, it still has got a nice rumble.
This car was built in accordance with the assembly manual using most, but not all original kit components. It has the FFR kit interior finish, but with dynamat as an underlayment and some added aluminum trim to provide some enhancement. If you are looking for a project to continue and to upgrade per your preferences, this car will work for you. If you are looking for a car with an upgraded custom interior and ready to win car shows, they are available for a significantly higher sales price than what I am asking.
