Vehicle Description
1955 GMC 150 Stepside 1/2 Ton Pickup DGC6857 VIN A28806857 This is
a one family owned truck. The grandfather bought a brand new, and I
bought it from the granddaughter inBoise ID. This it is an early
V-8 truck. GMC installed a 287 V-8 engine from Pontiac. The
transmission is a compound low four-speed. The truck has a new gas
tank sending unit. The tires are in very good condition. The paint
looks really good. You will find some nicks and scratches but
overall the body looks great. We did not find any rust except 3
small spots on the underside. The underside is really straight and
solid. Looks good. The interior is in decent condition. I'm not
sure what they used for the seat but it's in good condition, even
has a fold down armrest. The engine compartment is clean and it
looks good with that Pontiac V8 engine in it. Recent new wood bed
it looks good. We've got it all serviced and safety checked and
Andrew has been driving it back-and-forth right now. Andrew says it
runs and drives great. He also said the transmission is a little
stiff to shift. We took it in and they installed a new clutch and
now it shifts very good. Has a little play in the steering wheel
but it tracks straight. This truck has very good eyeball. It's not
a show truck. So you can drive it like Andrew did and enjoy it.
We've got it working much better now and should give you many many
miles of good service.
