Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1977 Ford
Thunderbird. The Thunderbird was produced from 1957-1997 and
2002-2005 as a two-door luxury coupe. Ford has marketed the T-bird
for their driving comfort and convenience features over being a
performance car. Over the years the Thunderbird has evolved from a
two-seater hardtop convertible to a full- fledged five-seater land
yacht and back to a two-seater hard top convertible again during
its long run. This 1977 Ford T-Bird was manufactured as a seventh-
generation model. At a time when fuel efficiency was at the
forefront, the T-Bird was shorted by eight inches and lost 900lbs
of weight to obtain better fuel mileage. In hindsight, the 1977
Thunderbird by design never lost the appearance of being a large
car. This 1977 Ford Thunderbird is painted in Dark Brown Metallic
accented with a light chestnut vinyl top and matching side
moldings. Hidden headlights and factory alloy wheels are great eye
appealing features. The dark brown cloth interior is luxuriously
appointed with a 50/50 split front bench seating and deep pile
carpeting. Under the hood is a 351 Windsor V-8 attached to
three-speed automatic transmission. Comfort features include air
conditioning, power steering, power brakes and an AM/FM radio.
