Vehicle Description
1965 Chevy C10 Stepside - 5.7L LS, Auto, Lowered, Powder-Coated
Frame, Custom Rims, Wood Bed, Stereo, Fun Cruiser! 1965 Chevy C10
Stepside - The 1965 Chevrolet C10 was a cozy hauler as it packed a
vinyl bench seat as standard and came with a wooden steering wheel.
No complexities here as the interior of the C10 was spacious and
practical. The '65 model year was also the first of the pack to
come with a standard in-dash air conditioning system. The doors
would open far and wide for smoother ingress and egress. The
entertainment was confined to just AM Radios and was just fine for
the day and age. The cheap and easy availability of parts and
sustainable construction has made the C10 trucks an easy pick to be
worked and modified upon. These C10s easily come in the list of the
best-modified bunch. The standard template includes swapping the
engine for an LS, as the chassis is more than capable to take the
new bunch of muscle. This sexy C10 is the perfect truck for an
owner who wants to just jump in, fire up the motor, and cruise in
comfort to the local car shows. That's what the builder had in mind
when he initiated this project and while he didn't get it 100%
finished, what remains are only minor projects. He started by
locating a solid frame and having it powder-coated. The front end
and suspension were all upgraded before the 5.7 LS motor was
installed. A set of American Racing 2-piece wheels were
powder-coated black and wrapped in ZR-Rated Tires. On the interior,
a custom seat, digital gauges and a sound system were his choices
for ensuring fun future cruises. Really the only area unfinished is
the A/C (if needed). This truck has seen less than 100 miles of
asphalt since competition and our test drive found that everything
present worked as it should. A list of options includes; 5.7L,
Aluminum Heads, 102mm Intake, Headers, Aluminum Radiator w/Dual
Electric Fans, Auto, RWD, Power Steering & Brakes, Relocated Fuel
Tank, Chrome Mirrors, Chrome Front Bumper.
