Description:
This 1983 Honda ATC 250R is powered by an air-cooled 248cc
two-stroke single linked with a five-speed manual transmission and
features a blue seat, trail lighting, a telescopic fork, a
thumb-operated throttle, and hand- and pedal-actuated braking. This
ATC 250R is now offered for off-road use only with a bill of
sale.
Interior:
The black cross-braced handlebar carries the clutch lever,
parking-brake mechanism, and switchgear for ignition and lighting
on the left along with the front brake lever and a thumb throttle
on the right. The ATC was not equipped with an odometer or hour
meter, therefore total mileage is unknown.
Exterior:
The three-wheeler is finished in red and features gold-finished
wheels, plastic fenders, trail lighting, and a blue seat. The metal
fuel tank is said to have been resealed while the plastics were
reportedly replaced and the frame powder-coated under previous
ownership.
Drivetrain:
The air-cooled 248cc two-stroke single was factory equipped with a
kick starter and a 30mm Keihin carburetor. Power is sent to the
rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a drive
chain. Braking is provided by a disc on the front wheel and another
on the rear axle. The ATC is equipped with a trailing-axle
telescopic fork with blue gaiters. The rear Pro-Link suspension
features a remote-reservoir mono-shock connected to the swingarm
and frame by a linkage mechanism that allows for progressive-rate
damping.
