Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this absolutely
spectacular 1965 Jaguar E-Type Fixed Head Coupe with only 49,880
original miles. The car has a stunning paintjob, brilliantly
refinished chrome, and a beautiful interior. It looks fantastic,
runs well, and is a pleasure to drive. It is finished in the
gorgeous color combination of green metallic over tan leather
interior.
A Jaguar Production Record Trace Certificate history report from
the Jaguar Heritage Trust is included with the sale. We have
checked the numbers on this car. The stamping on the engine reads
"7E 1126-9." The body number is "4E 20081," the 4E is correct for a
Fixed-head Coupe. The chassis number, "30043," is stamped on the
right frame rail and the data plate. All of these numbers are
correct and match the Trust Certificate.
This is an excellent opportunity to own a very rare and highly
desirable classic Jaguar. The market on Jaguar E-Type's is very hot
right now, especially for nice examples like this car. One could
easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase
price in years to come. The low mileage is verified not only by the
condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title that shows the
mileage as "Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, video, and
other information below to get a true sense of how exceptionally
nice this Jaguar really is.
As a side note, this E-Type is not a dealer auction vehicle. We
hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our Classics come from
owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the
vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and
encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car
inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We
photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
Jaguar, just give us a call.
Exterior
The green metallic exterior is in beautiful driver quality
condition. As one can see in the photos the finish has dazzling
gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The chrome and brightwork on
the car looks stunning with a bright and brilliant finish. The wire
wheels and spinners are in excellent condition with a great finish
and no curb rash. The tires have plenty of tread left and are sized
185/65R15. There are no major blemishes that have been
intentionally excluded from the photos, there may be a few tiny
imperfections that were too small to show up in the photos, but
nothing that is noticeable from about five feet away.
Interior
The tan leather interior of the Jaguar looks utterly splendid. The
quality of the workmanship and materials is top-notch. The seats
are in excellent condition with no split seams, rips, or hardly any
wear at all. The carpet is also in great condition with no stains,
rips, or holes. The dash is in nice condition with no sun fading,
but does have a couple cracks. The gauge faces are clean and the
lenses are clear. The door panels look excellent. This car has not
been smoked in; there are obviously no burn marks or aroma of
cigarettes what-so-ever.
The trunk is very clean, highly detailed, and well-trimmed with a
matching full size spare tire and matching chrome wire wheel.
Mechanical
This Jaguar E-Type seems to be in good mechanical condition. The
inline six engine starts every time and idles smooth. The car
drives nicely on the road and at highway speeds. In the video below
one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about
70mph, braking to a stoplight, and going through some curves.
Please note that there are no vibrations and the car performs quite
well overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side
or the other. The transmission shifts well, the shifter is tight,
and does not pop out of gear. The clutch feels good. The headlights
and taillights work as do the horn, radio, and odometer work. There
are some items that do not work such as the blower for the heater,
wipers, turn signals, and the gauges. The brake light on the dash
stays on. As with many other older carbureted cars it is cold
blooded, but has started every time for us when the choke is used
properly. The car idles smooth, but will sometimes break up at
higher rpm's. Also, the engine compartment is very correct as one
can see in the photos. Not enough can be said as to how much of a
pleasure it is to drive this Jaguar Fixed Head Coupe.
Overall Condition
Overall, this 1965 Jaguar E-Type Fixed Head Coupe is in marvelous
driver quality condition. The low miles, nice condition, the rare
body style, Trust Certificate, and the beautiful color combination
make this car especially important and difficult to duplicate. This
Jaguar always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. It is
very apparent that the vehicle has been well taken care of by its
previous owners. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several
years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal
effort.
