BODY OVERVIEW:
This 1967 Cadillac DeVille convertible is an iconic representation
of American luxury from the 1960s. The body exudes the classic
charm that Cadillac is known for, featuring elegant lines and a
striking red exterior. The exterior chrome and trim appears to be
original, and is showing its age as seen in the photos. Some of the
emblems are missing. Although this is a running, driving car that
was driven to our location, it should be noted that there is
significant rust in the floor pans. Please refer to the photos of
the underside.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW:
This car is wearing an older repaint that looks pretty good from a
few feet away, but up close blemishes and bubbles are visible.
These imperfections, indicative of its age, lend character to the
vehicle. Some will consider this an ideal driver-quality paint job,
while others will see a need for a complete repaint.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW:
The black interior maintains its classic appeal, offering a
comfortable and nostalgic driving environment. The interior appears
to be largely original. Although in nice original condition, some
blemishes on the interior trim are visible, and the driver's door
handle is functional but damaged.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW:
Under the hood, this DeVille is powered by a 472V8 engine, ensuring
a smooth and powerful ride. Equipped with power windows, power
brakes, and power steering, it offers a blend of convenience and
performance that defined the Cadillac brand. This car is not
difficult to start, and runs very smoothly-just like a Cadillac
should! Even the power top works.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR:
This 1967 Cadillac DeVille convertible represents an era of
American automotive opulence. Its classic design, complemented by
the powerful V8 engine, makes it a desirable collector's piece. The
convenience of power amenities enhances the driving experience, and
the convertible top adds to the car's allure.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR:
Buyers seeking a pristine, showroom-quality restoration may find
the older repaint and exterior imperfections less appealing. The
significant rust in the floor pans is a notable concern and should
be carefully considered. Those who prefer a car with minimal
cosmetic blemishes and a rust-free undercarriage may find that this
DeVille does not meet their standards.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING?
In our opinion, this car needs floorpans before it should be
driven. Additionally, the exterior paint and chrome may benefit
from restoration to enhance their appearance, but of course that is
up to buyer discretion.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR?
This 1967 Cadillac DeVille convertible would attract classic car
enthusiasts who appreciate the luxury and style of vintage
Cadillacs. Individuals seeking a restoration project or those who
are experienced in addressing rust and restoring classic cars may
find this DeVille appealing, as it checks out nicely in the
mechanical department.
