This 1991 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 is a Silverado that spent its
life in the Pacific Northwest. This is a really nice 3/4 Ton
Suburban and it was owned the last 8 years by an individual who
spent a lot of time and money to make mechanical upgrades and
general maintenance so it would be a dependable rig for him to take
camping and sightseeing all over the Pacific NW. The body on this
Burb is clean and straight. It was originally Ultra Silver Metallic
and Black but was repainted Ultra Silver Metallic and Burgundy at
some point because of the GM Clear Coat issues for this era. The
paint still looks nice, but it does have minor wear and tear over
the years from his use!! All of the side moldings are still in
really nice condition. This has a cool Vintage Warn front bumper in
really nice condition and the underside is also very clean. We
found no rust issues with this truck.
The interior is in awesome original condition. The seats, carpet,
and door panels are all original and excellent. The headliner was
replaced at some point which is common. The instrument cluster has
the rare factory tach option which is really cool and they added
the transmission temp gauge and an Air/Fuel Mixture gauge. The
headlights, tail lights, brakelights, and turn signals are all
working. All of the gauges work and the horn, wipers, and heat
work. This truck has working power windows and locks and the rear
window also works great. This truck has AC, but it is not blowing
cold. This Suburban has rear heat, but he removed the lines and fan
to give himself more room. This Burb also has a built in CB, Power
Inverter, alarm with keyless entry, and a nice bluetooth Alpine
Stereo.
Mechanically this Suburban is awesome!! It has a lot of upgrades
including the 383 Stroker V8 engine that runs strong and smooth
with no issues or red flags that we could find. He added Vortec
heads, Keith Black Pistons, and Eagle Crank, stock GM performance
roller Cam, roller rockers, and a high flow Cat with Magnaflow
exhaust. He also added and upgraded Remanufactured throttle body.
Once completed the engine was professionally tuned and it runs
excellent!!! This all has around 12,000 miles on it based on
information from the owner. We do have some receipts from 2017 when
the work was done. The transmission is the 4L80E Automatic that
shifts nice. They offered this in the square bodies only in 1991.
It has a Transgo Shift kit and this thing shifts nice. It is mated
to the np 241c transfer case and the 4WD works like it should. The
rear axle is a 14 Bolt Full Floater with 4.10 gears and a Limited
Slip Differential. The front axle is a 10 Bolt with with 4.10
gears. This is all sitting on a nice set of Vintage Aluminum Wheels
with Cooper Discoverer Tires.
