This 1965 Backdraft Cobra re-creation is powered by a fully
polished Roush Racing 402ci V8 engine that was balanced and
blueprinted, boasting 515hp and 500 ft/lbs of torque and mated to a
TREMEC TKO-600 5-speed manual transmission. It is equipped with a
limited-slip rear end with 3.73 ratio gearing, Quicktime bell
housing, Centerforce DF clutch kit, engine oil cooler and
thermostat, MSD ignition, 3-inch billet Gilmer pulley set,
ceramic-coated long-tube headers, Roush air filter and valve
covers, billet motor mounts, high-flow aluminum radiator and
reverse lockout shifter, StopTech cross-drilled rotors and ceramic
brake pads. The sleek body is finished in a deep high-gloss black
with a show finish complementing the stainless-steel side pipes,
17-inch Halibrand authentic knock-off wheels with safety wire,
two-piece frame-mounted stainless-steel driver roll bar, Le
Mans-style gas cap and stainless-steel hood rivets for
authenticity. This build is complete with both a cockpit tonneau
cover and a vinyl soft-top. The cockpit features nothing less than
a full complement of high-quality VDO gauges, top-grain
leather-covered seats with piping, a full leather dash, a
driver's-side seat slider, an aluminum-handle parking brake,
3-point racing belts, and a high-quality fully carpeted interior
and trunk.
