Numbers match throughout: original motor, trans, rear, distributor,
carburetor and colors. This is a Pontiac Historical documented Ram
Air lll Trans Am 4-speed, 1 of only 1,769. It has undergone a body
off frame restoration!
EXTERIOR: The all new design nailed it! A longer nose, sloping rear
profile and a lowered stance gave it a European sports car meets
American muscle look. Other features include fender air extractors,
spoilers, fender spats and the functional shaker hood scoop. It
even has the flapper door on the shaker scoop that opens and
closes. It is arrow straight and fits real nice including the
rubber bumper. No rust or damage. Repainted it's original Lucerne
blue color. The metal flake is all very smooth and glossy, the
clear coat is polished like glass. Correct decal striping. It has
some chips on the rear fender flares and some hairline cracks in
the paint on the rubber bumper. The grills, moldings, chrome,
taillights look like new. It has all new glass. New 15x8 rally ll
wheels with BFG tires.
INTERIOR: Great looking bright blue deluxe interior. It's restored
from carpet to headliner. Upholstery, door panels, carpet were all
replaced. The bits and pieces look great too. I love the machine
turned instrument panel and the formula wheel that is mounted on a
tilt column. It has the optional center console, complete set of
original seat belts including the shoulder belts and it has
reproduction floor mats. It also has a radio delete plate.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is the numbers matching 400 Ram Air lll
engine. It also has original dated and numbered carb and
distributor. All stock manifolds, valve covers, brackets, pulleys
etc. The motor was recently rebuilt and runs strong. The surfaces
are painted very nicely. It features power steering and brakes.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are painted slick.
Inside is clean metal painted gray spatter finish.
UNDERSIDE: These have the special handling package including a rear
sway bar. The floors are really clean metal, they were prepped and
painted. It was body off frame restored and it looks like all the
steering and suspension has been rebuilt. Great sounding custom
exhaust with X-Pipe, Magnaflow mufflers and the correct polished
tips. The brake system has been rebuilt, brake lines and e-brake
cables were replaced. It has disc in front. Looking up at the motor
it's clean Pontiac blue, the starter and fuel pump looks recent. It
has its original VIN number matching M21 Muncie 4-speed. Recently
rebuilt shifter, Center Force clutch and new flywheel. It has a new
yoke and u-joints, refinished drive shaft. 12 bolt rear end with
the optional performance 3.73 posi gears.
SERVICE: It went through our shop for inspection and passed with
flying colors.
Not only is this car restored to near brand new condition but it's
just a blast on the street. Shifting those gears, hearing that
exhaust note and feeling the acceleration is awesome! These were
highly acclaimed cars and built in limited quantities, someone will
be fortunate to own this one!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
