What's not to love! It looks like it did in 67. Shifting those
gears, listening to the exhaust with the top down sounds like a
great way to spend an afternoon!
EXTERIOR: It's a knockout, it presents itself beautifully. The long
black panels are absolutely straight, no rust or damage. The black
paint is polished smooth and glossy. It has some touch ups.
Overall, the chrome and stainless trim is in excellent shape. New
windshield. Just installed new black convertible power top. Rally l
wheels are in excellent shape. I think the red line tires are the
perfect choice to give some pop against this black paint. I would
even add red pinstripe, it has red emblems too.
INTERIOR: It is in fantastic shape. In front of me is a new
instrument panel with shiny chrome and fresh wood grain. It also
has a beautiful reproduction deluxe wheel on a tilt column.
Original dash pad does have one small crack. It has the rally
gauges including the tachometer and a new set of gauges below the
dash that may be more accurate. Down on the floor is new carpet and
original set of seat belts. The bucket seats are recushioned, the
upholstery has been replaced, door panels and armrests are new.
Under dash wiring harness was replaced.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a correct dated, code WT 389 motor. The
motor was rebuilt, it has an Edelbrock carb with electric choke and
Ram Air exhaust manifolds. New correct valve covers and air
cleaner. Upgraded aluminum radiator with a factory shroud and a
chrome cover. The power brake booster is new and upgraded with a
dual reservoir master cylinder. New alternator, battery cables and
voltage regulator. The metal surfaces are painted smooth.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are smooth
gloss black. Inside is all clean metal with a neat spatter finish.
It has a fifth matching redline tire and rally l wheel. New well
liner, trunk mat and weather strip
UNDERSIDE: Under this car is completely rebuilt and detailed. It
has the rallye suspension with boxed rear control arms, front and
rear swaybars. The front end steering and suspension is completely
rebuilt and detailed. The rear suspension is completely rebuilt.
New dual exhaust with stainless X-Pipe, stainless mufflers, and
polished GTO tips. The fuel system was replaced including the tank
and lines. The brake system was completely redone, it is upgraded
with disc in front. The brake lines and e-brake cables have been
replaced. Looking up at the motor it's spotless, starter and fuel
pump look fresh. It has a correct 1967 Muncie M20 4-speed that was
rebuilt. It has rebuilt shifter, new clutch, pressure plate,
bearing and resurfaced flywheel. The drive shaft is restored. It
has Saf-T-Track gears in the rear end. The floors are clean, rust
free metal painted semi-gloss black.
SERVICE: We inspected the car and repaired the reverse lights, the
horn, volt gauge, blower switch and rebalanced the wheels.
So it's an awesome GTO in triple black and a 4-speed. Aside from
being so cool and desirable it's also a very good car. It's well
sorted and presented. The new owner will be happy!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
