What fun you can have! Anywhere you go with this car, whether it's
a parade, a car show, the ice cream parlor or even a gas station,
you're going to put smiles on people's faces and engage in pleasant
conversations. You're going to get waved at and photographed even
while driving down the road. You don't have to spend a fortune to
get a collector car that's really enjoyable.
EXTERIOR: It presents itself very well. The body looks really good.
The 2 tone police paint is smooth and glossy. When you look close,
you'll find nicks or touchups. It's dressed up with the police
decals which can be easily removed and replaced with your own. The
big police emblem on the doors is actually a magnet that comes
right off. It's further dressed up with the working gumball light
on top, flashing red lights in the back window and two dummy
spotlights with red lenses. It has the whip antenna. The chrome
also shows very nicely but it's not new. It's black painted steel
rims have reproduction Ford hubcaps and radial tires.
INTERIOR: It's very nicely restored. The seat is firm and
reupholstered very nicely. Matching upholstered door panels. The
headliner has been replaced. The floor is carpet in back and a
rubber mat in front. The dash is in good looking shape. Seat belts
were installed in front. Some fun extras include the vintage CB,
rifle holder and a gun belt.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Smooth running 239 V-8. It's all stock: valve
covers, air cleaner, manifolds etc. We did upgrade it with an 8
volt battery. It features power brakes and a big vintage chrome
siren that works!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's a clean trunk compartment, under the lid is
painted. It has a complete jack and spare assembly. Rare 6 volt CB
radio.
UNDERSIDE: Overall it's very decent underneath. It's original and
maintained as needed. I will say looking up the motor and
transmission they look exceptionally clean. It has a single exhaust
that splits into two. An electric fuel pump has been added.
We call it old reliable. It runs and functions really well. It been
used in parades, driven to shows and events. It was even driven a 6
hour round trip. We bought it from a friend that has owned it since
1993. He loaned it to the town he lives in, and they used it
countless times. Now it's your turn to have fun!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
