Vehicle Description
STK 3638 1983 Dodge Ramcharger 150
This 1983 Dodge Ramcharger 4-WD is a rare original example of the
second-generation Ramcharger produced from 1981 through 1993. These
models introduced rectangular headlamps, bumper guards and
squared-off bodylines. The Ramcharger model was fitted with an
extended top to provide rear passenger seating (not removable).
This original, unrestored Gen2 Dodge Ramcharger 150 is in very good
condition. The factory Brown/Tan exterior finish has good luster
and there is no indication of body rust. The original interior is
in very, very good condition. Tan cloth/vinyl seats, dashboard,
headliner, carpeting and door cards have all been well maintained
and are sharp. The dash cluster contains a full factory gauge
package and convenience options include cold air conditioning (new
compressor), power tinted windows, tilt wheel and an AM/FM sound
system. Power for the Dodge is furnished by Chrysler's LA-series
318 V-8 that produces 230hp and 340lb/ft of towing torque. These
engines are virtually indestructible and the owner states that it
has never required a rebuild. The automatic transmission used in
the Ramcharger is the Chrysler TorqueFlite 727 3-speed and the
transfer case is the manual 2-speed New Process NP-208 w/automatic
'shift-on-the-fly' locking front hubs. Various axle configurations
were utilized in the Ramcharger, but most were Dana 44 units.
Suspension appears to be stock with power-assisted steering and
factory 15" 'Wagon Wheel' style wheels mount meaty all-terrain
radials. The Ramcharger also has power assisted front disc/rear
drum brakes. This Ramcharger is ready for a new owner who will
appreciate the grandeur of this full-size classic. ALL VEHICLES
SOLD "AS IS".
