Cruisin Classics is pleased to present to you this 1974 Oldsmobile
Cutlass Supreme. This one-family owned, low mileage, survivor car
comes to us today dressed in its original triple-black color
scheme. The paint appears to be all original, but it is now
driver-quality. This black beauty was purchased new in Columbus,
Ohio in 1974 and was transferred to the original owners' niece on
his passing in 2015. During all those years only 33,106 miles were
added to the odometer! This Cutlass has a lot of eye appeal with
many bright trim elements breaking up the black body. The hood
features a chrome center-spine that leads the eye down to the twin
waterfall front grills. The grills are separated by an Oldsmobile
"spear" badge at the center and they're flanked by headlights set
in bright bezels. The front bumper still shines nicely and has a
black rubber edge guard in good condition. Beneath the bumper are
rubber trim pieces at the bottom of the grills that are starting to
show some age. Moving around to the side you'll see white
pinstriping along the upper body line and a chrome and black body
trim piece that runs front to back across the middle of the body.
There are bright wheel lip moldings, door edge guards, window trim,
and drip rail moldings that all add a sparkle against the black
background. Both fenders are adorned with "Cutlass Supreme" script
and chrome faux vents behind the tires. There are dual body-color
side mirrors, chrome mudflaps, chrome door handles with black
insets, and chrome rocker covers to add to the overall look. There
is a black Landau top in very good condition that features slanted
vertical opera windows and an Oldsmobile "spear" badge. In the back
you'll find a downward-sloping rear end, a chrome rear bumper with
edge guard, tall vertical tail lights, and a hidden gas fill. The
car has a nice stance as it sits upon black and chrome factory
wheels wrapped in Kelly Super Charger bias-ply tires. Under the
hood lies the original 350 Rocket V-8 with a 4-barrel carburetor.
The engine bay looks bone-stock and in driver condition. A quick
look around reveals power steering, power brakes (disc/drum), and
an "Olds Rocket 350"air cleaner sticker. Air Conditioning
components are all still present but it is not currently blowing
cold. When you open the large drivers door you're greeted by a very
well-kept black interior illuminated by working courtesy lights.
The long door panels are in excellent condition and feature
woodgrain trim, pull-handles, "CS" logo badges, and an interior
mirror control on the drivers side. The black vinyl "StratoBucket"
seats are in exceptionally nice condition and feature uniquely
patterned back panels that continue on the the rear bench seat. The
seats are very comfortable and show very little sign of wear.
Between the seats is a center console with storage box, leather
ball shifter for the TH350 automatic transmission, and a woodgrain
insert. The woodgrain continues on to sections of the crack-free
dash. The only gauges on the dash are a speedometer and a fuel
gauge - there are simply warning lights for "brake, gen, oil, and
hot". The climate control system on the dash works as it should
with the exception of cold A/C. Also in the dash in a working
factory AM/FM push-button radio. The driver has a 2-spoke black
steering wheel with tilt column and a working horn. Ahead of the
passenger is a glovebox containing the original owners manual.
Overhead is a tight black vinyl headliner and underfoot is nice
black carpeting. Back in the trunk you'll find a carpeted matting,
a bias-ply spare on a factory wheel with a vinyl tire cover, a
factory jack, black rubber GM logo floormats, and a car cover. If
you're a fan of these Cutlass Supremes you're going to want to take
a hard look at this triple-black low mileage survivor! This 70's
cruiser is turnkey-ready to hit the road today!
