Mid-sixties Ford trucks have a style that is unique and desirable.
The hood ornament is my personal favorite with the gear and
lightning bolt! This cool truck is a short bed and looks great in
bright blue metallic paint with chrome hub caps on blue steel
wheels, radial tires, and a tonneau cover. It also has a roll pan
in the rear for a nice smoothed look.
The interior is black vinyl with an AM/FM/Cassette player, a Fatman
style steering wheel, black visors, Equus gauges, and a Pro
Tach!
Under the hood is a 262 cubic inch 6-cylinder with some bolt on
performance boosters. Those include a Clifford intake, Holley
2-barrel carburetor, and a header! The engine compartment and
engine are clean and show very well with a chrome air cleaner, new
plug wires, new spark plugs, and fresh paint and detail.
That engine is backed by a 3-speed manual that shifts on the floor
and feels great. Power steering makes it easy to handle for anyone.
This F100 is a great ton pickup truck to drive around town. With
a lot of newer normal maintenance parts, it should be a reliable
classic truck to enjoy. You could also swap that 6 for an 8 and
take it to the next level if you so desired. As it sits, it is a
nice driver quality classic truck that is sure to put a smile on
your face when you slide in and grab the steering wheel and shifter
and hit the road!
