here is a gorgeous 1963 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible. This Oldsmobile
has been well cared for and shows only 73,000 miles on the
odometer. This car has all the original dealership sales paperwork
including the window sticker and Protect-O-Plate. Originally from
Tennessee, this Oldsmobile 98 is an immaculate and original example
of a vintage luxurious turnpike cruiser. Painted in the correct
factory hue, Provincial White with the accurate factory blue accent
pinstripe. The paint has been well maintained with very few visual
imperfections and the paint shines with a deep luster. This car was
built when automakers were not shy about chrome trim and bumpers.
All the chrome trim is present and has been very well maintained
and presents with rich brilliance. The white convertible top was
replaced professionally, and the electric top works as designed.
Other features include an electric antenna, power trunk lock, and
deluxe wheel covers with whitewall radial tires. The blue interior
is completely original and includes a matching rear convertible top
cover. The seat upholstery shows only some light wear with the rear
seat inserts showing some light creasing and color fade. The carpet
is original showing some very light sun fade but is in otherwise
very good condition. The seats feature 6-way electric adjustment.
The dash features plenty of chrome stainless trim with a sweeping
120 MPH speedometer and a dash-mounted clock. Other options include
the Super Deluxe AM radio with Wonderbar search function, power
windows, and deluxe steering wheel. The glovebox contains all the
original instructional manuals and warranty cards. The rear trunk
is truly a time capsule. The trunk floor is clean with no rust,
covered by the original richly patterned vinyl covering. The
original spare tire and cover, original bumper jack with lug
wrench, and all the correct factory decals are all present and the
optional trunk light still works! Under the hood sits an Ultra High
Compression Oldsmobile Skyrocket 394cid V8 engine. The engine
compartment is all original, unmolested, and has been kept clean
and even the optional underhood lamp is present. Power is
transferred through a GM Roto Hydramatic Slim Jim 3-speed
transmission. Underneath the floorboards are clean with only some
minimal surface rust present. The underpinnings have been kept up
with new shocks and the muffler and tailpipe have been replaced.
Options include power steering and vacuum-assisted drum brakes.
This elegant cruiser is ready for some long rides in the country,
an elegant night out, or just a cruise with the kids for ice cream.
