Numbers matching 68 Pontiac GTO ( vin # 242378R196183). Odometer 483 (not correct) actual mileage is aprox. 1,134 mi since I completed car last year. Car comes W/PHS Documentation, reproduction window sticker, reproduction build sheet an restoration receipts. I purchased this GTO as a fully restored Ram Air recreation in 2018. When delivered found this to be only partially true. Vinyl top poorly done, interior very rough, engine was rebuilt but was missing ram air heads & alum manifold and the ram air exhaust manifolds were cracked need to replace. Had engine & interior work done American Hot Rod & automotive (Los Banos, Ca.). American hot rod verified engine rebuild when they installed new heads. Engine was bored 30 over, w/mild cam, installed correct rebuilt ram air #48 heads (rebuilt by Algelo Machine Shop, Merced, Ca.) installed aluminum intake manifold, rebuilt Quadrajet carburetor and replaced cracked exhaust manifolds with stock exhaust manifolds (NOTE included in ale set of new set of Hedman Hedders (ceramic coated). HD radiator was re cored. Turbo 400 transmission is rebuilt w/new torque converter, has (stock) Hurst Hui & Hers shifter. Air conditioner has been gone thru & converted but needs charging due to non use .Rear end gearing is 323. Undercarriage; brake system completely gone thru with new wheel cylinders & shoes. New springs front & rear, new HD front sway bar w/bushings, new shocks. Replaced complete front suspension, new bushings, ball joints inter & outer tie rods, idler arm & adjustment sleeves. Complete new exhaust & muffler system. Exterior paint complete when purchased. Car is painted original color "MAYFAIR MAZE". Body was completely stripped to bare metal & finished with all PPG Paint products, epoxy primer an then multiple coats of K38 blocking and finished with 4 coats of singe stage DCC urethane, then wet sanded & buffed. American Rod installed new black vinyl top. Added new chrome rear bumper and 15x7 stock Pontiac rally Wheels, hood tach & ram air hood scoops. Interior about only thing not replaced were front bucket seats. Replaced rear seat covers, head liner, all new door & rear quarter panels, replaced dash pad & new wood dash insert (special order) re chromed front vent window frames, all new weather stripping, rebuilt gages new clock, new sun visors, new wood steering wheel and complete steering column rebuild inc short shaft.
