Racing Wheels Brother to the Firebird, Camaros featured edgy
styling, optional V8 engines, sporty interiors, and exterior color
options which included available contrasting graphics packages.
Second generation Camraos like this one, oozed style, and offered
performance enough to have fun with. Remaining a sports car perfect
to impress others, Camaros of this generation continued to have a
competitor in the Mustang, with the Foxbody Mustang being the
latest iteration to compete with. The car you see here is a 1981
Chevrolet Camaro Z28 finished in Dark Blue over a Silver interior,
and featuring a 305ci V8 mated to a 4 speed manual transmission.
This Camaro is a well built and well maintained sports car, which
comes with spare parts and history. A pair of organized binders
come with the car. One binder contains Information guides, parts
summaries, parts diagrams, modification lists, and option lists,
while impeccable lists of parts purchased and installed on the car
can be found in the other binder. To say that our client kept
fastidious records is an understatement. This car has been a source
of pride and lots of attention, which to many is the best type of
vehicle to purchase since there is record of the maintenance
history of the car. Contrasting graphics or stripes were
commonplace on Camaros of this era, and we have to say that the
contrasting silver graphics on this Dark Blue Camaro look great.
Edgy, aggressive styling in the form of fender vents, large front
air dam, rear quarter panel flares, and a rear spoiler complete the
look of this American sports car. The exterior is not only
eye-catching because of the graphics, but the paint and body are in
great condition. Body panels line up as they should, and the paint
is glossy and showing depth throughout. Split-three spoke American
Racing wheels wrapped in white letter BF Goodrich tires add a
little flair to the exterior. Once in the driver's seat, close at
hand is the factory four-spoke steering wheel, and a B&M
shifter. Factory correct silver seating surfaces and door panels
pop thanks in part to the contrasting blue carpeting and headliner,
and the dark blue center console and dashboard. A large AutoMeter
tachometer, AutoMeter oil pressure gauge, switch for the exhaust
cutouts, and a shift light have been integrated in the interior,
along with a Pioneer stereo. The interior has clearly been well
kept, and shows nicely. Clean and shiny best describes the engine
bay of the car. An engine bay that you could eat from is a rare
thing, but this one is truly part of the clean-enough-to-eat-from
set. The engine itself is a 305ci V8 which has been tastefully
modified, resulting in a great sounding and good looking
powerplant. From a visual perspective, the block has been neatly
painted, and there are many polished or chromed parts including the
brake booster, air cleaner cover, valve covers, intake manifold,
and radiator cover trim. The intake manifold is an Edelbrock part,
topped with an Edelbrock carburetor, which along with parts like
aftermarket pistons, Lunati Camshaft, and Hedman headers give the
engine more breathing room. We should also mention the electronic
exhaust cutouts which give the driver the chance to make sure
everyone hears the aggressive sounding engine, or fly under the
radar with a quieter tone. Your chance to enjoy the late second
generation Camaro's styling and gusto is here with this dark blue
Z28, which for many years has been well maintained, and a source of
pride for our client. A V8 under the hood, bucket seats, a 4-speed
manual transmission, and unmistakable looks are all part of the
great package that is this 1981 Camaro. Please call if interested
