MERCEDES-BENZ ICON, READY TO ENJOY In 1971, Mercedes-Benz
introduced the all-new Type R107 350SL as the replacement for its
long-running 230/350/280SL sporting convertible models. Design was
executed by Bruno Sacco, who was also responsible for the
Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedans of the 1970s. Somewhat larger and more
rounded than its predecessors, the new SL was based upon a steel
unibody structure and featured a more luxuriously appointed
interior. Faster than ever before, the new SL delivered more
predictable handling and safety features extending to the most
minute detail. As expected, Mercedes-Benz constantly refined and
updated the R107, which remained in production for nearly 20 years
in five variants. Powered by a 5.6-liter V-8 developing 227
factory-rated horsepower and 279 pounds-feet of torque, the 560SL
was the ultimate expression, available from 1985 through 1989. As
always, Mercedes-Benz SL ownership, particularly in reference to
the 560SL, clearly signified that one had arrived in life, a status
that continues today.This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is a highly
original, high-quality U.S.-market example with a clean Carfax
vehicle-history report and a reasonable 75,200 accumulated miles at
the time of writing. Colors are excellent, comprising the Signal
Red body and matching removable auxiliary hardtop over Palomino
leather upholstery. The new Black convertible top is freshly and
professionally installed, using top-quality Haartz canvas material.
Desirable features and amenities are numerous as expected and
include an updated stereo with Bluetooth and a power antenna, a
driver's side airbag, heated left and right outside rear view
mirrors with the right-hand mirror electrically adjustable, a
factory anti-theft warning system, a front folding armrest,
automatic climate control air conditioning, and full
heat-insulating glass with a heated rear window panel. In addition
to the newly installed convertible top, this 560 SL is fitted with
a new set of tires and with a fresh inspection, service, and
detailing, it is ready to deliver a glamorous all-around
experience. In addition to the aforementioned Carfax
vehicle-history report, a printed report lists the Mercedes'
original data and option codes. See this wonderful example of the
iconic Mercedes-Benz 560SL for yourself by contacting us now for
