on October 5, 1961, the original color combination was Oslo Blue
with Red leather interior, is a complete car with its original
engine and transmission per Porsche Kardex. The floor pans and
battery box are original and solid.
Initially distributed by Competition Motors in Hollywood,
California, and delivered to the first owner in Pacific Palisades,
California. This 356 Cabriolet offers the buyer many options, from
returning it to pristine, original condition, making it a daily
driver, or building an Outlaw. It's a complete 356, needing
cosmetic and mechanical restoration, basically a clean slate for a
new owner to take it to a new level.
The matching air-cooled, flat-four Super 1600cc engine (Type 616/2)
produces 75 HP @ 5000 rpm with 87 lb. ft. of torque @ 5,000 rpm.
This 356 is not currently running and driving. However, the engine
was run on an engine stand and a video was made. Power is delivered
to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission (Type 741)
with a four-wheel drum braking system. Complete with jack, Porsche
