The 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is a classic American muscle car
produced by Chevrolet as part of their Chevelle lineup. The "SS"
stands for Super Sport, and it is a performance-oriented version of
the Chevelle. The 1968 Chevelle SS was part of the second
generation of Chevelle's, which ran from 1968 to 1972.
This 1968 SS came with a powerful 396 cubic inch V8 that produced
325 horsepower, making the Chevelle SS a high-performance muscle
car. Backing up that Big Block is a Muncie M21 4 speed manual
transmission pushing power back to the 12 bolt posi rear end.
Featuring a distinctive styling element that set it apart from the
standard Chevelle models the SS has a unique grille, Super Sport
badging, and as is the case with this car, Super Sport stripes
adorn the exterior.
Thanks to its powerful engine and performance-oriented suspension
