Vehicle Description
"The 1993 model year was the last before Mazda switched from
1.6-liter engines to the bigger 1.8-liter engines, as well as the
last year for viscous-style limited-slip differentials (1994 and up
got Torsen-style diffs). The 1993 Limited Edition model is special
because of its color scheme-it's painted Brilliant Black over red
leather. But the leather wasn't the only thing that was red. Much
of the interior trim, including the door grab handles, carpeting,
glove box, seat adjustment handles, and even the seat belts, were
also red. Underneath, it got stiffer springs, Bilstein shocks, and
upgraded sway bars. The '93 Limited Edition got some unique
exterior upgrades as well. From the factory, it received front and
rear spoilers, as well as a rear lower valance. The wheels are
14-inch BBS basketweaves. Pair all that stuff with the
color-matching hardtop, and you've got yourself one good-looking
Miata." -Road & Track
