Stingray Convertible! This C3 comes to us today dressed in a nice
medium blue metallic paint with a black vinyl convertible top that
looks brand new. The paint is a respray (originally Elkheart Green)
and is in driver quality condition. This was the last year of the
chrome bumper Corvettes and this one sports a gleaming rear split
bumper with bright CORVETTE lettering centered above it. Up front,
the working pop-up headlights are poised above the low angled front
end with a red cross-flags badge at the center. The high swooping
fender lines on these C3's give the car an unmistakable look - like
it's going fast while sitting still. "Stingray" script badges adorn
both front fenders just above the air ducts. Dual chrome side
mirrors add a bright pop to each side, as do the unique C3 door
handles. Bright chrome rocker covers in good condition add to the
look. Around back you'll see the iconic round tail lights with
bright trim rings and a centered gas fill with cross-flags badge.
Under the rear end is the optional spare kit complete with spare
tire. This Stingray has an awesome stance as it sits upon factory
Rally wheels with centercaps and beauty rings wrapped in BF
Goodrich Radial T/A's. Under the hood lies the original,
numbers-matching 350 V-8 topped with Chevy logo valve covers, an
Edelbrock Intake, a QFT 4-barrel carburetor, and a chrome air
cleaner. Exhaust runs through cast manifolds and newer pipes
mufflers before exiting through chrome rectangular tips in the
rear. Power steering and power brakes with a dual reservoir and
4-wheel discs add to the driving pleasure. The 350 is mated to the
original, numbers-matching Muncie M20 4-speed transmission with a
positraction rear end. The car runs strong, shifts easily, and
sounds fantastic! Open the drivers door to find a truly spectacular
Saddle Tan interior. The whole interior was redone within the last
several years and it shows. The door panels have been replaced with
OEM-style woodgrain insert versions (the premium ones) and are in
great condition. The leather seats have been restuffed and
recovered - they look, smell, and feel fantastic. The carpet has
been replaced and appears like new, kept that way with carpeted
logo floormats. The center console is, like everything else, in
excellent condition with no signs of wear. The shifter is
OEM-correct with a steel ball and finger-lifts for reverse. The
dashpad is new and flawless and the dash is crack-free. The gauges
(including speedometer and tachometer) all illuminate and work just
as they should - including the clock! In the center of the dash is
a Retrosound-style stereo connected to a Rockford Fosgate amplifier
and 6X9 speakers in the cargo area. The driver is treated to a
black leather-wrapped steering wheel with a cross-flags logo on the
horn centercap. The steering wheel also offers the convenience of
tilt and telescopic functions. The side windows are original with
AstroVentilation markings and they are also power-operated (and
very quick too!). Ahead of the passenger are dash storage pouches
for small items. In the cargo area are 3 storage bins with lids.
One is for the battery, the center one now has a 12volt charger and
aux input added to its lid, and the third is for storage. The cargo
area itself is nicely carpeted with a working courtesy light. The
manual convertible top is a breeze to take down and put up - and it
really gives the car a whole different look and feel when it's
tucked away! This Corvette comes with a partial build sheet and a
folder of receipts from work done by the previous owner (about $20K
worth!). If you're looking for a chrome bumper C3 convertible then
