Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to offer this
awesome Blue Ray Metallic 2014 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS. If you're
looking for a daily driver that's capable of ripping off a 9-second
quarter mile, you have found it! [time slip from Royal Purple
Raceway in Dallas: 9.287 ET, 145.88 MPH]This ultra-wicked one-owner
ride has been thoughtfully engineered to achieve this rare level of
capability. During the multi-year gradual upgrade process, it has
seen more than a few performance upgrade iterations through some of
the top shops in the Houston area, culminating with the 416 CID V8
swap and tune at SeriousHP. The laundry list of mods to the car
includes the 416, a 2.9L Whipplecharger with S/C 3-inch pulley
(generating 15 lbs. boost), ATI 10% overdrive harmonic balancer,
150HP Nitrous Express system with 15lb bottle, Lingenfelter
LNC-2000 launch controller, Comp Cams Stage 3 PDS, fully-ported
heads by SAM, Ferrea stainless valves, Titanium retainers, Chromoly
pushrods, ARP head bolts and main studs, Clevite bearings, LS2
lifter trays with LS7 lifters and LS7 valley cover, LS9 head
gaskets, Wiseco forged pistons, K1 H-beam rods and K1 Forged 4"
throw crankshaft. Additionally, it's equipped with a Corvette ZR1
MAP sensor, an E85 Flex Fuel conversion kit, triple Walbro 267 E85
fuel pumps, and custom tune that gets this beast into the 9's on
E85. Exhaust is handled by American Racing Long Tube headers,
stainless 3" exhaust with dual 3" electric cutouts, high
performance catalytic converters, and Flowmaster mufflers and tips.
Helping the beastly 416 keep its cool is a giant DeWitt's aluminum
radiator, and AFCO dual fan racing heat exchanger. Backing the 416
is a built 6-speed automatic transmission, with Circle D 2200 RPM
stall torque converter, which transfers the power to the 3.45:1
gearset via a solid aluminum drive shaft. A hidden B&M line
lock helps when warming the tires prior to launch (or when you want
to kill the bugs in front of your house with a massive cloud of
burnt rubber smoke). With all this power available, you'll be glad
that it is equipped with upgraded multi-piston Brembo calipers at
all 4 corners, a custom RPM roll cage, and RaceQuip racing
harnesses for the front passengers. While that's a laundry list of
performance upgrades, this Camaro looks surprisingly stock from
most angles, including the two-tone gray interior (pretend you
don't see the roll cage and harnesses for a second) ...the leather
seating looks virtually unused, and the light gray carpet as well.
One can tell that while this car is VERY fast, its owner has not
beaten on it - it's not one that's been "ridden hard and put up
wet", that's for sure. You still get all the amenities found on a
Camaro 2SS, including cold air conditioning, cruise control, all
the usual power amenities (windows, mirrors, seats, etc.), heads-up
display, driver and passenger airbags, tilt/telescoping steering
wheel, and leather seating. You'll also get the bonus of 20-inch
Bravado aluminum wheels, and sticky low-profile Nitto radials (with
315 section width NTO5 drag radials out back). This is one serious
performance beast - if you're itching for a 9-second street car,
snap this one up!
