Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to offer this
sleek silver 1962 Chevrolet Impala. When Chevrolet introduced the
Impala in 1958, it became a tremendous success for the Bowtie Boys,
and it continued through 10 generations of the platform. This '62
is a member of the 3rd generation, which spanned from 1961-1964,
and was highlighted by the introduction of the SS (Super Sport)
line. However, this one is nothing like it was when it came off the
line in Hamtramck! The gorgeous Cadillac Silver metallic paint
shines almost as brightly as the new chrome grille and bumpers and
is highlighted by a very nicely executed blue side stripe, which
features a very subtle multi-hued blue diamond pattern, which
reflects sunlight in a most entertaining way. It is powered by a
5.7L LS1 V8, which is backed by a 4L60 (4-Speed) automatic
transmission that is controlled by a Lokar console shifter in the
custom interior. The power is sent out back to a set of 3.36:1
gears in the GM rear end, providing both snappy acceleration and
good highway cruising. This bad boy rides on a set of custom 18"
Billet Specialties aluminum wheels, which feature low profile
P245/45R18 Cooper performance radials at all 4 corners. Four-wheel
disc brakes provide great stopping power, thanks to the polished
brake booster and Wilwood master cylinder with attached
proportioning valve. The engine bay is nicely executed, with tucked
away HVAC hoses, serpentine belt system, massive BeCool aluminum
radiator with twin electric fans, coated shorty headers that feed
the custom dual exhaust, a matte-finished custom upper intake
manifold, and Spectre CAI. This Impala is also as nice underneath
as it appears up top: featuring a powder-coated frame and control
arms, along with super clean floor pans, this is one car you'll be
as proud to put on a lift to show your friends what she looks like
underneath as you will be when they're merely gawking at it in the
parking lot. Underneath, you'll notice the new fuel tank, but you
won't see the new high volume in-tank fuel pump that was installed
to support the LS1. The glass has all been replaced with smoked
glass windows (not film tint) and new chrome trim. Inside, you'll
notice that it has been updated, and now features modern synthetic
leather surfaces with attractive contrasting white stitching
(including the custom center console), a new analog electronic
dash, Vintage Air HVAC system, iDidit tilt steering column topped
by a thick, leather-wrapped billet aluminum steering wheel,
retro-style AM/FM Radio, and the new carpet and headliner. Even the
trunk received the custom treatment, with the same synthetic
leather as the interior, custom panels, and LED lighting effects.
Additional features on this sharp '62 include an Anti-theft System,
Power Locks, and Power Steering. This '62 Impala is ready for the
next Cruisin' the Coast or Route 66 event, so grab it now and be
ready! Give our Houston showroom a call, or shoot us an email, and
we'll do our part to help you add this one to your collection!
