Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is proud to present to you this awesome 2018 Dodge
Challenger SRT Demon! This is number 498 of only 3,000 Demons made
for the US market in '18 - it's certainly not a car you see every
day. It is one of the top ten fastest production cars in America
and the only one that will do a wheelie with no aftermarket
modifications! With the factory provided PCM (powertrain control
module) installed and 100+ octane gas in the tank this beast puts
out 840hp and will do 0-60 in 2.3 seconds, cover a mile in 9.65
seconds, and hit a top speed of 211mph! It is basically a street
legal drag car, but with interior appointments that rival the
nicest luxury vehicles - quite the combination! This Challenger
came from the factory dressed in Billet Silver paint with a painted
Black Satin graphics package, but in 2021 it was treated to a full
Stealth PPF wrap ($6,500 w/ a 10 year warranty) in matte clear. The
wrap looks spectacular and will protect the paint underneath for
years to come. The Demon looks intimadating from the front with
it's enormous air grabber intake on the hood, quad "air catcher"
headlights, SRT badging, and black chin spoiler (which still
retains the protective yellow guard piece). Moving around to the
side you'll notice immediately that all 4 wheel wells feature
wide-body fender flares to accommodate the foot wide Nitto drag
radials manufactured specifically for the Demon. Those drag tires
are wrapped around black aluminum 5-spoke SRT wheels that look
perfect on this car. Hiding behind the wheels are bright red
4-piston Brembo calipers and slotted rotors - just what is needed
to slow this monster down. Both front fenders feature a black Demon
badge behind the wheel. The dual side mirrors are body color, as
are the door handles. The windows feature a dark tint that are a
perfect accent to the black sections of the body. The rear of the
Demon looks just as mean as the rest of the car with a trunk lid
spoiler with SRT badge, black rear valence with DODGE lettering,
and large, chrome, rectangular exhaust tips that release an amazing
growl with the slightest tap of the accelerator. Under the black
hood is a 6.2liter Hemi V-8 SRT engine with a 2.8liter
super-charger - the largest ever offered on a modern gas engine
car. Dodge even added a "power-chiller" to the Demon that reroutes
the A/C to cool the super-charger heat exchangers. The engine bay
is predictably spotless and you can't help but notice the Demon
head cast on the top of the super-charger. This insanely powerful
engine is mated to an 8-speed Torque-Flite automatic transmission -
a marriage made in muscle car heaven. This combination is made even
more effective with features like Drag Mode, Launch Assist,
Trans-brake, Line-lock, and a limited-slip differential. As you can
see, Dodge really focused on making the Demon a "halo car" that
solidified their place as a muscle car icon. Drag cars are known as
a single-purpose machine - meant to go in a straight line very fast
with no frills, but when you open the drivers' door of this Demon
you immediately recognize that this car is on par with high-end
luxury cars when it comes to interior appointments and features.
The door panels feature a stylish blend of suede, leather, and
vinyl as well as controls for power windows, locks, and mirrors.
The front bucket seats are simply over-the-top with soft Laguna
leather and Alcantara fabric blending together to create an
incredibly comfortable seat. The drivers seat has power controls
(for lumbar too!) and both front seats feature heat and
ventilation. Not only do the seats look and feel great, they smell
incredible! Once you've closed the door you're unable to escape the
satisfying aroma of the high-quality leather. Between the bucket
seats is a center console with stitched leather, vinyl, and brushed
nickel. The console has an armrest and storage compartment with
12volt charger, 2 phone chargers, and an auxilliary input tucked
inside. The console is also home to a shifter with leather boot, 2
cup holders, climate controls, sound system controls, and driving
mode controls. Above the console in the center of the dash is an
8.4 inch display screen for the Uconnect system with navigation,
Apple CarPlay, Sirius XM radio, integrated Voice Command with
Bluetooth, and a multitude of other features. The sound system,
like everything else inside the Demon, is top of the line and
features a Harman Kardon 18-speaker premium audio system with
subwoofer and GreenEdge amplifier. The driver is treated to a
heated Wildwheel Alcantara Steering wheel attached to a column with
electronic tilt and telescopic functions. The steering wheel also
offers paddle shifters, stereo controls, phone controls, cruise
control, and controls for the digital information ahead on the
gauge cluster. Also on the column are controls for the intermittent
wipers. Ahead of the wheel is the gauge cluster with a 200 mph
speedometer and a tachometer flanking a screen that offers a
multitude of information pages including digital speedometer,
vehicle info, performance, fuel economy, trip info, audio,
messages, and diagnostics. This system goes way beyond this
simplified description - it's really amazing how much information
it offers. Ahead of the passenger is a dash vent that bears the
production number of the car. When ordered, you could choose a name
or personalized message to be placed on this vent placard. This
particular one reads: 0498 Built for Silver Bullet. In the trunk,
in a Demon box, is the original vent with just the 0498 number on
it. Beneath this vent you'll find a glovebox that is home to the
original owners manual, booklets, and info. Overhead is a nice
fabric headliner, dual visors with lighted vanity mirrors, map
lights, and a sunglass holder. Underfoot is high quality black
carpet, kept fresh by carpeted SRT logo floormats. In the rear is a
comfortable bench seat with seating for three and seatbelts for the
same. All seatbelts were ordered red for an extra $195 when the car
was built. The trunk has a nice carpeted lining and contains a
custom car cover, MOPAR battery tender, and the original window
sticker (now laminated). Also included with the sale is the "Demon
Crate" that was purchased with the car. It has an exterior plaque
that shares the same number and "built for" message that is on the
interior air vent. The crate contains an 840hp PCM, Switch-Gear for
high octane fuel, 4.5X18 front skinny wheels, floorjack, torque
wrench, tire pressure gauge, cordless impact wrench with charger,
canvas tool bag, fender cover, performance air filter, and a
passenger mirror block-off plate. It is always tough to say what
new cars will become future classics and solid long-term
investments, but this car is a no-brainer. This Demon is one of
only 3,300 made in 2018, it is personalized, it is almost fully
loaded (only option lacking seems to be a moonroof), and it is one
of the fastest muscle cars ever built by an American manufacturer.
It will definitely be the star of someones collection for decades
to come and as the years roll by it will surely increase in value.
All that aside, nothing will put a bigger smile on your face than
taking this car to a track and launching it down the quarter
mile!
