enthusiast has bought a project car with a vision in their mind of
how this car would look once completed. For some of us with the
skill set and the financial resources these dream cars came to
fruition, but for most of us that project never really goes in the
direction we hoped, or life gets in the way and you have to sell
the car for the funds before it is done. Whatever the case, we are
pretty sure the dream car in your mind looked a heck of a lot like
the 1973 Chevrolet Camaro featured here. This Camaro has been
treated to a thorough frame-off restoration with all the classic
performance upgrades. Included in the sale of this Camaro is a
photo history of the restoration as well as the receipts
documenting the build. The black paint was laid down over
professionally executed bodywork. A set of dark grey rally stripes
were laid down across the length of the body and the finish was
polished to a deep luster. Further enhancements include a cowl hood
and rear deck spoiler with the finishing touch being a set of
chrome 18 Rocket Racing 5-spoke alloy wheels with 225/40ZR18 Nitto
Extreme ZR tires mounted on the front wheels and a set of
P265/40R18 Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials mounted on the rear
wheels. Inside the cab, the black interior has been fully restored
including new door pads, seat upholstery, carpet, and headliner. A
set of new Camaro logo-ed floor mats helps keep that new carpet
looking fresh. A leather-wrapped billet steering wheel is capped
with a factory horn button featuring a Camaro emblem. A carbon
fiber bezel frames the AutoMeter gauges that monitor the engine
vitals and a Pioneer Super Tuner with AM/FM is SAT Radio ready and
features an AUX output to power the soundtrack for your cruises.
The gears are selected by a B&M Megashifter built to fit
perfectly in the factory console. Under the hood is well-detailed
and show ready. A performance-built 383cid small block Chevy sits
between the rails and is topped with a Holley Sniper Fuel Injection
with a Brodix aluminum intake and heads. An MSD Ignition fires the
fuel mixture and the spent exhaust flows through a set of Hooker
Headers. Custom details abound with a smoothed firewall, billet
hood hinges, and fender brackets as well as spun aluminum
underdrive pulleys. This hot setup is kept cool with an aluminum
radiator with electric fans mounted in an aluminum shroud. Power is
transferred through a GM Turbo 350 Hydra-Matic 3-speed automatic to
a 10-bolt differential equipped with a limited-slip carrier and
aluminum cover. The suspension and steering were fully rebuilt
during the restoration and the undercarriage remains nicely
detailed. Upgrades include Wilwood power four-wheel disc brakes and
all new brake lines. A Holley in-tank electric fuel pump pushes the
fuel through all new fuel lines up to the Sniper EFI. The engine
rumbles deeply through a Pypes stainless steel exhaust with an
X-pipe and polished stainless steel cross-flow transverse mounted
muffler. It is said money can't buy you happiness, but you know all
it takes is money to buy this classic Camaro of your dreams and we
find it hard to believe that wouldn't make you happy. Please call
if interested or e-mail with specific questions. Thank you for
looking.
