This 1978 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT has been stored in a climate
controlled garage during our ownership for the
last three years. It was reported as being sold new in Nebraska and
then it moved to Wyoming in the mid '80s.
The Bronco is now offered with a clean Texas title.
A refresh completed in January 2020 is said to have included a
repaint in two-tone Medium Copper over Wimbledon White,
as well as installing a replacement carpet kit, a 4? suspension
lift, and aftermarket 15? aluminum wheels with 33? tires.
Power is from a 351ci V8 mated to a C6 automatic transmission with
a two-speed transfer case. It has a removable hard top,
dual exhaust system, a swing-out tire carrier, and a vintage-style
aftermarket stereo, a rear receiver hitch, tubular step
bars, and a front brush guard with KC Daylighter lights and
recovery points. The refresh included refinishing
the door jambs and engine bay per the previous seller.
A 4? suspension lift was added by the previous selling dealer,
along with 15? Pacer aluminum wheels mounted with 33?x12.5?
Dick Cepek Extreme Country tires. A full-size matching spare is
mounted to a swing-out rear carrier.
The seats are upholstered in brown vinyl with patterned cloth
inserts and there are Ford-branded floor mats,
a heater-defroster, a power-operated rear window, and faux wood
trim on the dashboard and door
panels. A vintage-style aftermarket radio with bluetooth
capabilities and auxiliary inputs replaces the stock item.
A factory two-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and
a five-digit odometer currently showing 79,273 miles. It had just
under 77,500 miles when we received it three years ago. The cruise
control is said to be inoperable.
