Vehicle Description
Fuel Required is pleased to present this 1984 Ford Mustang SVO in
our McDonald, PA showroom. The Mustang SVO (Special Vehicle
Operations) was a limited-production version of the 3rd generation
Mustang sold from 1984 to 1986, with fewer than 10,000 being built.
In addition to the advanced turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the
SVO featured several key modifications over the standard Mustang to
help increase performance. The front suspension geometry was
modified, 15:1 ratio power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering system
replaced the standard system, a limited-slip, Traction-Lok rear
axle was added, and a new, ventilated four-wheel-disc braking
system replaced the GT's standard disc/drum setup. The ventilated
rear disc brakes, five-lug hubs, 16-inch wheels, quad-shock rear
end, and the KONIs were used on the SVO before any other Mustang.
This is a highly original example where the odometer reads 62,819
miles. The body of this car is rust free mainly due to it having
Ziebart rust protection since new and has had one repaint/color
change over the years. The interior is original and is free from
any tears or stains. The car is equipped with five of the six
available options for SVO's which include: air conditioning, a
stereo cassette tape player, power door locks and windows, and a
flip-up sun roof. The engine and turbocharger run strong and are
accompanied by a new dual exhaust system. The vehicle retains its
original certificate from Ford Motor Company authenticating its SVO
heritage as being car #4443 of #4508 built in 1984. Fuel Required
always recommends and welcomes personal or professional inspections
