May 24, 1968, this BODY-OFF RESTORED 1968 Corvette Restomod
Convertible is LOADED with features that were never even available
on a 1968 model year Corvette, or any C3 for that matter, and would
make the perfect drive/show restomod without getting into the
$200K+ price range. This car's paint is good-vg, with a beautiful,
stunning shine. Custom widebody conversion has been done to
accommodate the larger wheels and tires, and custom C5 style power
side mirrors have been added as well, in addition to a big block
style hood, body color rocker panels, and LED lights for the fender
vents. Convertible top is vg, front bumper shows a good condition
finish, and rear bumpers show a good-vg finish. Exterior door
handles are vg, and weatherstripping is vg. Polished split spoke
Hot Rod by Boyd wheels have been added and are vg, and Michelin
Pilot Super Sport tires are sized 265/35/18 in the front, with
305/30/19s in the rear. These tires show an average of 8/32nds
tread depth remaining. The interior of this 1968 Corvette Restomod
Convertible shows vg-exc seatbelts, dash pad, cutpile carpet, and
rear storage bins. Additions to this interior include vg-exc
heated/power C5 seats recovered in a custom vinyl pattern,
aftermarket center console with removable lid, aftermarket tilt
steering column with Grant 3 spoke steering wheel, custom digital
gauges, fire extinguisher, push button start, electronic climate
control, Joying USB/BT/BKUP stereo, Polk Audio speakers (rear and
kick panel), Pioneer subwoofer, Boss PV3700 5 channel amplifier,
USB inputs, and aluminum pedals. Underhood additions include an LS2
engine mated to a T56 6 speed manual transmission, Livernoise
Motorsports Stage 2 aftermarket performance camshaft, long tube
headers, x-pipe, Magnaflow mufflers, cold air intake, aluminum
radiator, and a hydraulic hood strut. QA1 coil-over shocks have
also been added, along with drilled and slotted brake rotors.
Previously vacuum-operated, the wipers and headlights have been
converted to electric for improved reliability, and an aftermarket
alarm with keyless entry has been added as well. included with this
car will be printed photos of the build and body-off restoration.
