THIS 69 CHARGER WAS A NEIGHBORHOOD FRIEND'S CAR THAT I CAME ACROSS 40 YEARS LATER. I HAD PLANS OF COMPLETELY RESTORING HIM BUT HAVING TO SELL OFF SOME DUE TO HEALTH REASONS. THE CAR WAS BORN AT THE HAMTRAMCK , MICHIGAN PLANT FEBRUARY 19TH 1969 VIN NUMBER XP29F9B298XXX. THE FENDER TAG WAS PRETTY ROUGH BUT MANAGED TO DECODE MOST OF IT. THE CAR HAS THE CORRECT BODY NUMBERS AT THE TRUNK GUTTER AND THE RADIATOR TOP BRACKET. I PULLED OUT THE 318 AND 904 AUTOMATIC BUT TURNS OUT NEITHER ARE MATCHING NUMBERS TO THE CAR, EVEN THOUGH THE ENGINE IS A 1969 CAST BLOCK, NUMBER FIVE ROD CAP WENT THROUGH THE PAN BUT ONLY BANGED UP THE PAN RAIL VERY LITTLE. THE CAR CAME FROM THE FACTORY WITH SEVERAL EXTRAS INCLUDING (SPEED CONTROL) A/C, CONSOLE AUTOMATIC, BLACK VINYL TOP, AND LUGGAGE RACK. AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE PICS FRAME RAILS SEEM GOOD, AS WELL AS THE ROCKERS. THERE IS SOME DAMAGE AT THE DRIVER SIDE TORSION BAR CROSS MEMBER BUT COULD BE SAVED. INNER WHEEL HOUSES ARE PRETTY GOOD BUT WILL NEED SOME PATCHING IN PLACES. OBVIOUSLY NEEDS FLOOR PANS BUT LOOKS LIKE THEY COULD POSSIBLY BE WELDED IN AND FITTED WITHOUT GRINDING OUT THE FACTORY SPOT WELDS; AT LEAST ON SOME OF THE FLOOR. THE TRUNK PAN AND FUEL TANK WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED, OUTER WHEEL HOUSES AND LOWER QUARTERS LOOK LIKE THEY CAN BE PATCHED IN AS WELL. THERE IS A ROT HOLE AT THE (A) PILLAR AS CAN BE SEEN IN THE PICTURE. THE HOOD HAD UNDER STRUCTURE DAMAGE FROM WATER GETTING IN THROUGH THE TURN INDICATOR HOLES, BUT I HAVE ANOTHER HOOD THAT COULD BE COMBINED TO MAKE A DECENT ONE. PREVIOUS OWNER HAD TAKEN OUT THE BACK GLASS SO THE CAR COVER ROTTED AWAY EVENTUALLY AND LET WATER INSIDE. FRONT AND REAR GLASS CHANNELS WILL CERTAINLY NEED SOME ATTENTION. I HAVE ALL THE SEATS, REAR GLASS , REAR BUMPER, FRONT UNDER PANEL ONE EXTRA TAIL LIGHT, AND SEEMS TO BE ALL THE TRIM PIECES. LUGGAGE RACK IS COMPLETE BUT SOME PITTING ON IT. THEY ARE NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AND IV'E SEEN THEM OVER $1,000 USED, AND OVER $3,000 FOR A (N.O.S.) PERFECT ONE. WILL BE GLAD TO ANSWER ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS ON THE CAR THROUGH CC, THANKS, FRANK . .
