With coachwork by Reutter and extra attention to detail, 356 Cabriolets were significantly more expensive than their coupe counterparts (and contemporary sports cars such as the Corvette), but more than made up for it with their high build quality and remarkable driving characteristics. This exquisite Porsche 356 was sold new December 1960 to Don Bay of Hollywood California, and remained under his care until until being purchased by famed comedian and TV host David Letterman. Mr. Letterman owned and cared for this gorgeous Porsche until our acquisition in 2023. Under Mr. Letterman’s care, this 356 Cabriolet underwent a comprehensive restoration, only being driven sparingly and maintained to the highest standards upon its completion.
